Nursery School and Children's Centre

Federation of Crosfield and Selhurst Nursery Schools and Children’s Centres

Responding to Public Concerns

The staff and governors at Crosfield and Selhurst Nursery Schools and Children’s Centres aim to ensure that all children, parents / carers, other stakeholders and visitors are fully satisfied with all aspects of the services we provide.

This policy is intended to ensure:
  • that all who come to the Centres feel their voice is valued and any concerns they may have are listened to and treated with respect;
  • that any concerns parents / carers or other stakeholders may have about the learning and development opportunities offered in the Centres are dealt with fairly and sensitively;
  • that any concerns parents / carers or other stakeholders may have about other services provided through the Centres are dealt with fairly and sensitively.

The Crosfield brochure contains the following statement:

“Complaints We hope that your experience at Crosfield will be enjoyable and rewarding. However, if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the Centre, you should speak to a member of the staff or, if necessary, the Head teacher, who will try to sort out the problem for you.  We seek to work in close partnership with users of the centre and believe that most issues can be sorted out through discussion.  However, if you are still unhappy, you can take the complaint further.  The Head teacher will advise you of the steps which need to be taken for this course of action.”

The Federation follows Croydon Council guidelines and you are asked to refer to the leaflet “Responding to your concerns in relation to schools”, copies of which are available in the entrance hall at Crosfield, Malling Close and Selhurst.
