We operate our special needs policy within the framework of the SEND code of practice relevant legislation. We believe that all children have entitlement to the Early Years Foundation Stage and aim to help very child achieve his/her potential. There are particular groups of children who will benefit from extra help and we strive to identify these at an early stage and make appropriate provision to meet their needs.
The advice and support of other professionals including a Speech and Language Therapist and Educational Psychologist is given on a regular, planned basis. Parents are always involved in discussion and review.
Children who have:
A recognised physical/sensory impairment
A recognised medical condition
A communication and interaction difficulty
A specific learning difficulty
An identified social, emotional or behavioural difficulty
